MG East Anglia Tour



 
10th to 14th March 2024
 
A new tour for 2024, we travel to the East of England to explore Norfolk and Suffolk with quant seaside towns, rolling arable farmland and the network of the Norfolk Broads. 
We have a four night stay at the Four Star Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort with three road runs planned, along with local attractions, exploring all the two counties have to offer.

Suggested Itinerary:
Sunday 10th March
Check in at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort from 15.00hrs, relax at the hotel and dine together as a group in the evening.
Monday 11th March
After a leisurely breakfast we have a suggested driving route taking in the beautiful scenery East Anglia has to offer. Tonight we dine as a group in the hotel.
Tuesday 12th March
Having enjoyed another breakfast we have arranged a visit to the Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum (TBC). We dine together as a group again tonight.
Wednesday 13th March
Once you are finished at breakfast we have organised another suggested road run route which takes further sights and sounds of the area. Tonight we dine as a group in the hotel for the last night.
Thursday 14th March
MG East Anglia comes to an end with one final breakfast to fuel you for the journey homewards. Check out to be completed by 11.00hrs

MG Ireland


 
23rd to 27th April 2024

Back on track for 2024 the, usual sell-out, MG tour of Ireland is back. Basing ourselves at the Five Star Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort we will be explore all that this area of Wicklow County has to offer, from beautiful sandy beaches to the stunning Wicklow mountains.
Suggested Itinerary:
Tuesday 23rd April
Arrive at Holyhead port for the 09.00hrs Stena Line crossing to Dublin. Arriving at Dublin Port at around midday you take a relaxing drive to Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort for check in from 16.00hrs. We have a welcome group BBQ at the hotel tonight.
Wednesday 24th April
After a leisurely breakfast we have a suggested driving route taking you along the beautiful coast line of Wicklow County. You are free to dine at your leisure this evening either at the hotel or surrounding area.
Thursday 25th April
Having fueled up at breakfast we head towards Avondale House where you can visit the house for a tour and experience the Tree top walk and viewing tower taking you thirty eight meters above the forest floor. Once again tonight you are free to dine at your leisure at a location of your choice.
Friday 26th April
Once you are finished at breakfast we have organised another suggested road run route to take you up in to the mountains and beyond. Tonight we have arranged a farewell group dinner in the hotel.
Saturday 27th April
MG Ireland comes to an end with one final breakfast. Check out is to be completed before midday as we return back to Dublin Port to catch the 14.45hrs Stena Line return crossing arriving back in Holyhead for approximately 18.20hrs.

MG Isle of Man

 
15th to 19th July 2024
 
The tour in 2023 was so popular we are offering a repeat experience in 2024.

The Four Star Comis Hotel & Golf Resort is our base for four nights, on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. There is an amazing mixture of stunning scenery, history and mechanical wonders that envelops the island. No matter if you are a wildlife, motor sport or history fan, the island has a huge amount to offer.
Suggested Itinerary:
Monday 15th July
Taking the afternoon ferry from Heysham to Isle of Man, once on the island it is a short drive to our base for the week, the four-star Comis Hotel & Golf Resort. Once checked in we have a group dinner arranged.
Tuesday 16th July
After breakfast, to start our first full day on the island and we have a suggested, relaxed, driving route to explore the sights and wonders of the south of the island. Dinner at the hotel is again included this evening.
Wednesday 17th July
Today we have a suggested route to take you to the north of the island with a visit to the impressive Isle Of Man Motor Museum at Jurby, with over 500 unique exhibits to view. Dinner is again included this evening.
Thursday 18th July
After a leisurely breakfast we have planned a relaxed drive around the famous TT route. At just over 37 miles this will take around an hour and a half, as against just under 17 minutes that the bikes cover the course in. Once back in Douglas the rest of the day can be spent exploring at your leisure. Once back at the hotel we have our last evening meal together.
Friday 19th July
A slightly earlier morning breakfast than we have been used to signal the morning ferry back to Heysham and the end of the tour.

MG Lakes


23rd to 27th September 2024

 
New for 2024, it is the first time we have explored this beautiful area of the UK. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful roads and historic lakes all bekon. 
We have a four night stay at the Four Star Leeming House Hotel with three road runs planned, along with a local museum visit, we aim to show you the area in full.

Suggested Itinerary:
Monday 23rd September
Arrive at the Leeming House Hotel for a check in from 15.00hrs. a group dinner is included tonight in the dining room.
Tuesday 24th September
After breakfast we head out to start our exploration of the area with a suggested road run. Dinner as a group is, again, included tonight at the hotel.
Wednesday 25th September
Having had a relaxing breakfast it is off to the Lakeland Motor Museum (TBC) which includes the Campbell Bluebird Exhibition which is a tribute to the racing career of Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell. It is back to the hotel for dinning as a group again tonight.
Thursday 26th September
Our third road run today takes us to explore another part of the Lakes after breakfast. We return to the hotel for our last nights group dinner
Friday 27th September
The final breakfast brings the tour to a close as we start the homeward journey. Check out is to be completed by 11.00hrs

Historic Motorsports Event Planner 2021

The Spa Classic has always been one of a favourite events to attend. We have our own exclusive parking area next to the F1 garages for your car and you can enjoy the racing from our private hospitality suite overlooking Eau Rouge. Grand Prix l’Age d’Or
3rd – 7th June 2021


Dijon hosts this historic motorsport weekend amongst the vineyards of the Burgundy countryside. At the circuit, our reserved car park is track-side offering great views of the racing, whilst our 4-star family run hotel in the nearby village of Gevrey-Chambertin provides a friendly welcome and a picturesque drive to the circuit each day.

Le Mans Classic
1st – 5th July


Postponed from 2020, the Le Mans Classic returns and will be the must-attend event of the calendar. For th3 10th running of this event you will be able to witness race cars that previously competed at Le Mans between 1923 and 2010, so wandering the paddock is sure to bring back memories for everyone. The Le Mans Classic is also the largest car club gathering in Europe, and MG Owners always have a large presence. You can choose from our exclusive, hotel, cabins, glamping and camping offers to make the most of this fun event.

DON’T MISS: All MGOC members are invited to join staff and race teams for an exclusive post-race barbecue on the Sunday of Le Mans Classic. Hosted in the centre of the circuit, between 6pm and 9pm, the barbecue will include a drink, free-range beef burgers, park susages, vegetarian quiche and tortilla, grilled chicken, salad bar and a selection of desserts for £30.00 per person.

Nurburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix
13th – 16th August


2021 will see the 49th running of this amazing classic motor racing spectacle. Around 600 sports cars will compete in 11 races over the weekend. Cars from all eras and classes will be represented from pre-war machines to recent Formula 1 racers. The paddock is turned in to a race fans delight with mechanics working feverishly to get the cars ready for the track.

Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix
3rd – 6th September


Set within the sand dunes of the Dutch coastline, the Zandvoort circuit will host historic Formula 1 cars and classic sports cars across a packed weekend of racing. Just a few minutes’ walk from the busy paddock are some great hotels in which to relax after a hard days race viewing.

Circuit des Remparts, Angouleme
15th – 21st September


For MG Owners wishing to enjoy the 81st edition of this wonderful weekend extravaganza of all things motoring, we offer a long-weekend break or a more relaxed escorted tour through France enabling everyone to enjoy the best of this remarkable event. The old, walled town of Angouleme hosts a fun concours on the Friday evening and an organized scenic drive through the countryside on the Saturday. Then on the Sunday there is a full day of racing around the tight street circuit, providing the perfect crescendo to the weekend.

Spa Six Hours
24th – 27th September


The Spa Six Hours festival is a whole weekend of spectacular classic car racing amongst the autumnal colours of the Ardennes hills. More than 600 cars will take to the Spa-Francorcamps circuit in a variety of races across the weekend, but the largest starting grid is for the six-hour endurance race that starts on Saturday afternoon and continues in to the darkness. As with all Spa events, we have a variety of camping and hotel accommodation available close to the circuit.
